Dr. Frank Werner

Frank M. Werner is Associate Professor of Finance at the Gabelli School of Business of Fordham University where he
teaches courses in financial management. He is an award-winning teacher, having been cited by both undergraduate
and graduate students for both his work in the classroom and his impact on and dedication and commitment to the
student body. He has over 45 years of experience in executive education working with financial institutions.

Dr. Werner received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1978. He also earned an M.Phil. from Columbia (1975), and
an M.B.A. (1968) and B.A. (in Engineering and Applied Physics–1966) from Harvard University.

Dr. Werner is the author of numerous journal articles and nine books—including two widely adopted financial
management textbooks—and The Amazing Journey of Adam Smith, a novel about finance and global sustainability. He
is a member of the Academy of Business Education where he serves on the Board of Directors, the Academy of
Management, the American Finance Association, Financial Executives International, and the Financial Management
Association.
